Scottish Register of Tartans

Researching tartans for the family names in the project, it *appears* that this site is the official list. One thing I’ve learned about tartans is that the patterns you find in the online shops are not necessarily the ones that may have been claimed or worn by your specific ancestors. A few designs are even assigned to specific regions.

Regardless, I’m collecting them for potential use on the family wall chart.

The tartan patterns are used here as a picture fill on a basic elongated shield shape, created in PowerPoint.
